VOCOM

Vehicle Offboard COMmunicator is the official vehicle communication interface for all Volvo Group products, markets, and applications.

In order to diagnose a vehicle, it is necessary to connect a piece of hardware between the computer that runs the diagnostic application and the vehicle.

The function of this hardware is to translate vehicle language to computer language and vice versa. This hardware is known as Vehicle Communication Interface, or just VCI. Also known as a communication unit or vehicle adapter.

VOCOM is a series of VCI products developed by Volvo Group.

VOCOM II is the edition that fully supports Wi-Fi communication.

VOCOM 2+ is the latest generation with Ethernet capability and advanced security features.

VOCOM II and VOCOM 2+ support all products from all brands: trucks, buses, construction machines, boats, or stationary engines, from legacy products up to the latest electronic architecture.
